Q: How long have you worked at Rogers?
A: I have been with Rogers since February 2014 – almost six years, although I prefer to count by time in months as every day has been exciting. I have been here 5 yrs 9mo = 69 months!
Q: What is your current position at Rogers and what are you responsible for?
A: My current position is quite diverse: I am head of Purchasing, in addition to working on Specialty Poultry Sales. I am also an account manager for a few very successful restaurants. My responsibilities are extensive, but I take pride in doing a good job. I must mention that I also take the lead in our Holiday seasonal sales.
Q: Describe your favorite memories or experiences while working at Rogers?
A: I have many fond memories formed here at Rogers. Some are of people I’ve had the pleasure to work with over the years that have since retired. Other memories are of sharing time with my fellow co-workers, for whom I have absolute respect and admiration.
Q: How would you define your role at Rogers and what do you feel is the most important part of your job?
A: Again, my role at Rogers is quite diverse, so perhaps the most important thing I do is pay attention to detail to get through my daily challenges. I treat everyone I work with, co-workers, customers and vendors alike, with the utmost respect and appreciation. That’s very important.
Q: How does your job impact Rogers customers (directly or indirectly) and what do you do to make sure you’re always making a positive impact?
A: My job impacts customers directly in the sense that I am responsible for making certain they get taken care appropriately – meaning, I make certain they get what they need in the easiest possible way. I remain very happy throughout the day and inject humor into my everyday activities. I find humor is a great way of getting to know someone.
Q: What do you enjoy spending time doing when not at work?
A: I am an avid reader, of good old-fashioned paper books. Mostly biographies and history books. I also love to cook and being here at Rogers allows me the opportunity to indulge in any cuisine I care to try out at home.
Q: Something no one might know or be surprised to know about you?
A: I am a huge music fan, of any genre, and although I don’t play an 
instrument, I fronted a rock band in my teens, LOL. I was the singer! We have a recording studio at home and from time to time, my dear husband records me (for posterity, he says). And I cannot dance, much as I try. I have two left feet as they say.
Q: Best thing in life that’s happened to you?
A: This is a tough question, as I have had so many wonderful things happen to me in my life. But at this point in my life, I can say the best thing is my loving family, as they’ve supported me unconditionally through so many of my life’s adventures.
Q: Describe a little bit about your background…where you grew up, family…
A: Growing up was tough, but it made me who I am, as we are all the sum of our experience. My father passed away when I was four years old, leaving my mother a widow with 8 children to bring up on her 
own. So family is very important to me. I’ve lived in every neighborhood in Los Angeles, from South Central L.A. to Highland Park and everything in between. I grew up conditioned to quickly adapt to new places and faces. It’s made me who I am today. I wouldn’t change a thing.
